Children’s Illustration

Lately I have been focusing a lot more on creating art for a younger audience. This is something I really enjoy doing – creating cute characters full of magic, fun and wonder. I noticed the need to add more of this to my portfolio, so these three pieces are the most recent children oriented illustrations. Each one was a bit of a learning curve, trying new styles and techniques, but each was a lot of fun to create. I hope to do more of these professionally in the near future!

Five Nights at Freddys

This was my project to complete for Halloween and I’m glad its all done, although it was really fun to work on. For those who are not familiar with the game, you play as a new security guard working the night shift at a pizza place called Freddy Fazzbear’s Pizza (something like Chuck E Cheese). The catch is that the animatronics (Bonnie the bunny, Chica the chicken, Foxy the fox, and Freddy the bear) all come to life at night and wander the place looking for you. How you play the game[…]

Successful Night

Last Friday night, October 2nd, I was invited to attend a fundraiser dinner at the UPEI campus to raise money for the Catholic Studies program. I was asked to donate a portrait of Blessed John Henry Newman for an auction and gift to the speaker (Dr.Peter Erb) who would be talking about him. The theme of the night was centered around this Cardinal. The night was a great success and people were very pleased with the work I created, especially Dr. Peter Erb. It was so wonderful to get some local recognition, dress up, and have a very fancy[…]
